Pittsburgh Vulcans starter Stanley Lamb turned in a sterling performance against the Washington Federals, leading his team to a slim, 2-1 win. The third-place Vulcans have won 4 straight games.
Lamb, who is tied for 2nd in the FL in quality starts with 17, pitched a complete game for Pittsburgh. Lamb surrendered 5 hits over 9 innings and struck out 2. With the win, he moves to 12-8 on the season.
