Columbians Fall Short, 6-5, at Chicago | The Chicago Cyclones scored a tight, 6-5 win versus the New York Columbians at Garrison Grounds. Chicago pitcher Doug Crockett held his own in the contest. New York now is 1-2.
The Cyclones got a big at-bat from left fielder Steve Ferguson. For the game, Ferguson was 2-4 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 3rd double of the season gave Chicago a 6-5 lead.
