| McKinley Tops Philadelphia, 1-0, for 200th Win | Jack McKinley of the New York Barons will go down as one of the league's legendary pitchers after his 1-0 win today against the Philadelphia Unions.
"It felt like it was a postseason game, one out at a time," said his manager. "It was something special to see."
The 34-year-old McKinley picked up his 200th career victory at Columbia Field. He hurled 9 innings, gave up 2 hits and registered 1 strikeout along with no walks.
"I've worked a long time for this," McKinley said. "I can't believe it's really here. It feels great!"
Since he joined the league, McKinley has collected 200 victories and 220 defeats with a 3.08 ERA. | | | | |
