| Chicago Stopped, 5-2, by Louisville | The Louisville Colts got a stellar effort from pitcher Ed Lane, helping Louisville score a win over the visiting Chicago Cyclones, 5-2. The win elevated the Colts to 49-24.
Hick Rogers dealt the Cyclones a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with the bases loaded and Louisville leading 3-2, Rogers, who is on pace for 76 RBI this season, hit a first pitch changeup for a 2-run single.
