Brahmins Get Clonked by Clippers, 9-8
Though the conditions were not ideal, the Cleveland Clippers and Boston Brahmins came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

Boston got a terrific game from third baseman Tony Heath. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Cleveland, 9-8. Heath was 3 for 4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Boston, with the loss, is still a hardy 3-1.

The game was at a stalemate until third baseman Joseph DeWald came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Boston pitcher Ken Burns, he hit a 1-2 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting Cleveland on top, 9-8.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said DeWald.
