| Cyclones Go 10 Innings to Beat Philadelphia, 7-3 | Behind the hitting of Pat Manke, the Chicago Cyclones stopped the Philadelphia Unions, 7-3, in 10 innings. Manke went 3 for 5 with a triple and 2 singles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 3 for the Cyclones. Picking up the win was Victor Anderson. He went 10 innings, allowing 3 runs on 11 hits. The right--hander struck out 3 and walked 0. The third-place Unions now sit at 51-40.
Manke had a game-changing triple in the top of the tenth. On a 1-0 fastball from Jack Malley, he banged a bases-clearing triple to right, giving the Cyclones a 6-3 lead. It was the 5th triple of the year for Manke.
"Our team showed some spunk," said Manke.
