The New York Columbians could not turn a fine performance from right fielder Martin Bird into a win. Instead, the Milwaukee Creams prevailed, 12-11, in 10 innings. Bird went 5 for 6 with a double and 4 singles, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The winner in relief was Victor Thomas. He is now 1-0. The right-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2 innings. The win gives the Creams a record of 28-52.

The most important at-bat for Milwaukee came in the top of the tenth inning. With two out, Ed Templin reached on an error by the SS, driving in 1 run, putting Milwaukee up, 12-11.
