Toronto Provincials starter Fred Brody turned in a workmanlike performance against the Kansas City Prairie Dogs at Garrison Common Grounds. Brody, who finished 3rd in the IA in strikeouts with 174 last year, went the distance for Toronto. He gave up 5 runs on 8 hits. The loss makes Kansas City 1-3.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth, an error by the Prairie Dogs allowed the Provincials to score the winning run.
