The Chicago Cyclones picked up a win at Columbia Field, knocking off the New York Columbians, 9-3. On the mound for Chicago was right-hander Doug Crockett. He played a key role in the triumph. The hot start continues for the defending champion Cyclones. This was their 7th win in 10 games.

The fans who came to support the Cyclones were pleased with the outcome. It was what they had hoped for when they passed through the turnstiles at Columbia Field.

"Getting ahead of the hitters was the key," said Crockett.
