Tigers Earn Clutch Win, 9-8
The Montreal Tigers defeated the Kansas City Prairie Dogs, 9-8, in 12 innings. Much of the credit belonged to center fielder Buster Brown, who went 3-5 with a triple, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 for the Tigers. Joe Henry, who leads the IA with a 1.60 ERA, picked up the win in relief. Russ Stancil took the loss for Kansas City. The win puts Montreal at 32-15 this season.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the 12th for Montreal. That's when Tom Fowler hit a run-scoring double off 21-year old right-handed pitcher Russ Stancil to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Brown.
