| Prairie Dogs Chop Down Provincials, 5-2 | The Kansas City Prairie Dogs picked up a win at Carver Grounds, knocking off the Toronto Provincials, 5-2. Starting pitcher Bill Nolette played a key role in the triumph. The winning pitcher was Nolette, now 7-17. He tossed 9 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 3. The loss makes Toronto 29-23.
With Kansas City leading 3-1 in the bottom of the sixth, Nolette hit a 2-run single off Toronto hurler Lawrence Phillips. It was the 12th hit of the season for Nolette and put his team ahead, 5-1.
