Cleveland Wins, 8-7, in Extra Innings
The Cleveland Blue Caps and the New York Columbians played into extra innings before the winner was determined. The Blue Caps won it, 8-7, in 10 innings. In the game, Cleveland left fielder William Williamson was 3-5 with 2 doubles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Dan Hicks was the winner. He's now 32-14. The loser was slugging right-handed pitcher Tom Ewart. With the win, Cleveland has a record of 56-36. New York falls to 46-45.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With no one out, Williamson hit a changeup from Tom Ewart for a run-scoring double. The Blue Caps, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"This was one of those 'not to be denied' games," said Cleveland field general .
