| Kansas City Beaten, 7-5, by Toronto in 10 | The Toronto Provincials picked up a win at Carver Grounds, downing the Kansas City Prairie Dogs, 7-5, in 10 innings. On the mound for Toronto was right-hander Fred Brody, who played a pivotal role in the win. With the victory, the Provincials record stands at 42-35.
It could have been a different outcome for Toronto, had it not been for Edsel Geyer, the 22-year old third baseman . Geyer contributed a 2-run single in the top of the tenth inning to put Toronto up, 7-5.
"Fred giving us the start that he did was huge," said Toronto manager . | | | | |
