The Toronto Provincials defeated the Boston Brahmins, 11-9, at Garrison Common Grounds. Toronto right fielder Merritt Hunter had a superb performance. He was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The winner was Bart Nader in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Roy Kane took the loss. The win makes Toronto 48-36.

Standpipe Read was 3-5 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 3 for Toronto. The 24-year old catcher had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With one out and runners on 1st and 3rd, he broke a 8-8 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Roy Kane. It was his 49th RBI of the season.
