Vulcans Losing Streak at 5 After Extra-Inning Loss to Colts
Behind a fine performance from Charlie Shanafelt, the Louisville Colts knocked off the Pittsburgh Vulcans in 10 innings, 7-6. Shanafelt went 3 for 5 with a home run and a triple, while scoring 3 times for the Colts. The Colts go to 72-29, putting them first in the Federal League.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. With the game tied in the bottom of the tenth, an error by the Vulcans allowed the Colts to score the winning run.

"Our team showed some spunk," said Shanafelt.
