Unions Lose Big to Federals, 13-2
Riding the 3-hit performance of the 27-year old right fielder Jim Bayles, the Washington Federals stopped the Philadelphia Unions, 13-2. The Federals raised their record to 32-68.

With Washington leading 1-0 in the top of the first, Bayles hit a curveball from Bancroft King for a grand slam home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Federals ahead, 5-0.

Philadelphia manager said: "The beauty of this game is games like this only count as one loss."
